You can't get away with that. Don't just bait us with generalities .... details, man, details. Step by step would be nice.
Please
JD
edit to add: pictures would be much appreciated as well

Re: Prepping A Barrel For Cast Bullets?
I've used steel wool (0000) pretty extencively along w/the Barnes copper remover. Clean well w/Hoppes,then Barnes, then Birchwood Casey, Rem 10x, Hoppes copper/lead , #9. I think the fouling becomes satuated w/a solvet and resistant to it when you change solvents your clean patch bore ''dumps '' and you get 2 more layers.
Trust me the above is from a 65' Savage110 06' that started w/a 300x305 muzzle and a 1934 mod 14 Rem 32 Rem that started as a 312x318 and wound up 312x3205 .
DO NOT LET THE AMMONIA BASED STUFF SET OVER NIGHT ..... the Savage needed to be recrowned anyway and who'd notice that last half inch of bbl.

Would love to but the" Shooting Range" is not the place to do it.
Maybe as the forum progresses RD might give us a section to do or show projects like this.

Re: Prepping A Barrel For Cast Bullets?
I've renamed the "DIY Problem Solving" forum to "DIY Projects" and we can store this information there. Once we see what is collected, I can determine if something different is needed. This topic has been moved from the "The Shooting Range" and like anything that AK and I move, it is "shadowed" in both the original and new location for 72 hours just to make it easier to find.

I am not that great with the camera and did not take many pictures of the 71/84s I rebuilt but will try to put something together for an information post on the use of an electronic cleaner.
