Nice mod! That makes it easy. Now that I finally have 25 ACP trimmers that is all I use across about 30 different cartridges.

Re: Fan of Lee Case Length Trimmers
RD it's interesting to hear you trim pistol cases like the 25ACP. I do check and trim new and range pick up pistol brass but rarely bother after that. The only straight walled case that is the exception is 30 Carbine as it needs trimmed after 2 or 3 loading.Ranch Dog wrote:....... That is the way that I use the Lee trimmers on a RCBS trim station, as well. I have Lee case length trimmers, including custom-ordered, for all of the cartidges that I load.

Re: Fan of Lee Case Length Trimmers
I too like the simplicity of their trimmers. At times though I have trouble keeping the shellholders tight on the case. Must be my technique. Or lack thereof. The quick trim works well but not as simple as the original trim system.

Re: Fan of Lee Case Length Trimmers
Your not alone with getting the shell holder tight enough. I found my arthritic fingers aches to much to get proper grip. Now I use gloves which provide better grip with less pressure on the joints. And some Aleve about a hour before starting.Rooster59 wrote:I too like the simplicity of their trimmers. At times though I have trouble keeping the shellholders tight on the case. I have the chuck you can put into electric drill. I use channel locks to lock the shell on otherwise it can fall out. Takes about 10 second to cut 30-06 length (63mm) down to 8mm or 7.7 jap length(58mm).

I all so like the Lee trimmer I use one of those cordless screwdrivers the speed is just right. I leave mine plugged in when trimming cases.
