Re: 38 Special sizing issues
They were all RP Nickel brass. I've got a bunch of mixed cases I could try. Never thought it was the brass as they don't appear to be all the same lot v

Re: 38 Special sizing issues
I loaded some other brass that was mixed and only had issues with four of them. Lee Precision offered to repair or replace the die if I send it to them. At this point I'm not sure the die is the issue.

Re: 38 Special sizing issues
Have you miked the bullets your using? I've been frustrated once or twice with a die that "wasn't" sizing. Turn out the bullets were .02 to small and the sizing die was fine.

Re: 38 Special sizing issues
Just another suggestion - is it possible there was too much flair applied to the case mouth? The minimal amount of flair to just accept the base of the bullet is all that should be applied.

38 Special sizing issues
The bullets were loose even with flaring. As noted, I did get a tighter grip by using a different sizing die. I also had success with a different batch of brass. I haven't miked any of the bullets.
On the plus side, Lee has offered to check the die out if I send it in so no issues with Lee customer service.

9mm bullets are slightly smaller than .38 bullets
Are they 9mm bullets?
