The HP9 %@*&$ will feed a Lee 358-158 RNFP with a .280 nose . I don't know if it will but a couple of dummies will tell me . It looks like it's the 160 version anyway and that work well in the 9mm for weight or the sights .
How weird that F E G would get sensored . It's a High Power clone .You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: What Handgun Reloading Did You Do Today?
Not much "regular" reloading done lately, however the last couple days I have loaded about 30, 45 colt "Bee Killer" loads. These consist of 5gr Herco powder under a card wad (made myself) and a Lee 2.8cc scoop of Lyman corn media with another card wad on top with a slight crimp. I've made these with both sized and unsized cases and it seems to make little difference in load capabilities ...deadly to about six feet and gun shoots to POA . I may "tweak" my load a bit by going to a faster powder like BE as the Herco load is a bit dirty, and maybe using a more "robust" ejecta. I believe uncooked Uncle Bens rice may be a bit "overkill", (I did try one load with it on a piece of typing paper at 8ft or so and the damage was quite extensive with full penetration, but would probably be a great load for Bald Hornets.) so may look for something in between those two. I'm reloading these on my Lee Cast SS press and haven't had any "issues" as the press seems completely up to the task, albeit a bit slow. If I were to have a need for more output I'd have to figure a way to do this on the LM. I think it would also handle the job nicely. Cost per round I figure is around 3 to 5 cents. This cost could change as I don't know off hand what a box of grits may cost me. By the way, I'm shooting these in a original size Ruger Bisley Vaquero so there's no fear of handling these loads and the Bisley grip handles the recoil (none) very well .
As in all reloading info, these loads work in my guns but you should consult your reloading manual to confirm data. Oh, wait, there is none...

That is interesting. I think I will give it try. I have used 22 birdshot on wasp for many years. Your method will add more fun to it.Horseman wrote:Not much "regular" reloading done lately, however the last couple days I have loaded about 30, 45 colt "Bee Killer" loads. Re: What Handgun Reloading Did You Do Today?
A bit of an "update" on my Bee-Killer loads. Tried some BE powder, six loads at 3gr and six at 4gr. Couldn't tell much difference in performance other than the 4gr load is a bit louder. Probably will go with a split between the two. By the way, none of these are much louder than just poppin a primer. I do need to go to a harder "alloy" as the Lyman corn media is a bit to soft for "humane" kills on wasps . Blows the bejeezus outa flies, spiders and such, (ruins ALL the meat) but for the wasps it just "wings" them.... Puts them down for sure at six or so feet but for a DRT you gotta get "close" so when using it you must work on your "stalking" skills. Even with this light load be careful where you're shooting because it is powerful enough within 4 or 5 feet to chip paint from the house also wear eye protection in case of "ricochets". That's about all to report for now. Will get back to ya when I find something that'll drop the quarry with more authority. (Just in case you run into that "trophy" or one happens to be "charging" and you need a quicker "kill shot")....
I must admit, this is one of the more ridiculous things I've done in my reloading life, but it's an awful lot of fun shootin' bee's and such with a 45 colt....

Just make sure to shoot 'em between the eyes they get mean when they're wounded.
Funny this came up right after i got an email from Sage Outdoors that they now have kits to make pistol shot shells.

Re: What Handgun Reloading Did You Do Today?
I just finished running off 200 rounds of 9mm.
My recipes is as follows:
124gr, Hi-Tek coated RN from Missouri Bullet Company
4.0gr, W231
1.155 oal
These run GREAT in all of my handguns, and also feed perfectly through my JRC Carbine.
I had to stop at 200 because it is just too dang hot in the garage to be comfortable right now.

Loaded 200 of 380 using 2.6gn of Titegroup and Xtreme 100gn played RNFP boolits on my Loadmaster. Zero primer issues, if you don't include the 3 rounds that had no primers because I let the tray run empty. I'm pretty sure that I have the priming issue solved on my Loadmaster.

Friday nigth I loaded just above 300 .38spl Blackpowder rounds, before I ran out of cases... I guess I'll need to dust off my tumbler shortly.

It weighs just 140 gr and if it doesn't work out I can always toss 30 # or so in a pot and make something else from them .
