TLC310-150-RF For 300 Savage

Post by Ranch Dog »

I received my special order TLC310-150-RF for the 300 Savage in record time. It cast right on spec and appears to be a perfect fit in my Savage 110 chamber!

Now that is sexy. Looks like it makes great bullets. I'm excited for a range report.

That looks like some serious wallop. Makes me wish I had more time to cast.

The .308 is only slightly longer than the 300 Savage. I'm not sure that extra length makes much difference, guess the military did or just wanted to be slightly off.

RD, why did you choose the 300 savage rather than the more popular 308 win, since they are almost identical except for oal and slight additional water capacity of 308. Just curious, both good

Just because I always wanted a bolt rifle in the cartridge. No other reason.

Just because I always wanted a bolt rifle in the cartridge. No other reason. Savage 110s in the cartridge are very rare.

Any range time with this bullet yet? Also, where are you getting your brass? I haven't really looked to hard for brass yet, but I may need too. My Savage 99 is a 1927 takedown model which ive read can have problems with headspacing and case stretch if its been taken apart and put together quite a lot.

No none. I just cast it last week and with the holidays just haven't had the time to lube them let alone shoot them.

Since 308 is similar, I reformed mine from 308.
