Man, glad your OK, Like the rest, tell us the story.
Not very long ago, I was on one of my rare trips to
a public shooting range that has added lexan between
the benches, guy next to me was shooting a 1911, heard the
unmistakable "Pop" of a squib, sure enough, I look over &
his 1911 would not go fully into battery, & he is beating
the rear of the slide trying to get it to close all the way
& steady tugging on the trigger???????
I stopped him, told him & showed him what was going on
& cleared his tube for him, all was well, then, once again,
"Pop" & he is beating the slide & pulling the trigger again???
I left, by this time the range master was dealing with him???
Don't get me wrong, not saying anyone here would do anything
like that, But the pic of the bulge in that tube brought that
memory back. Once again, glad your OK, & if you would
tell us the rest....

Eeeeewwwww not good !!!! Glad it didn't go boom !!! Heard that distinctive POP a month ago but stopped got my ram rod and checked the barrel, not there but did find it sitting next to the target 30 foot away. The only primers I could get were magnums so think that sent it down range.

Really glade you are okay.

ohh it was just the result of not paying attention
the loads were some i was changing drop weights on the loadmaster
i was having a little trouble getting it to work properly with .40
so i must have forgot to look in that one

i was shooting over the chrono
and my buddy was a couple spots down bangin away with his G34
and he must have pulled the trigger right when i did
and i didnt hear the PFFFTTTT sound, so i thought it was a dud !!
and must have had my brain turned off, i just shucked the round and chamberd another
pulled the trigger and the slide stuck
no drama no boom
just plain stooopppid
I KNOW BETTER!!
complacency leads to disaster

the barrel is out of my fave carry gun

i found several barrels
from $75 to $125 so not a big deal
