A Problem , An Issue

Post by beekeeper »

When I was growing up people had problems and solved them themselves.
Now a days people have issues and always go somewhere else to get them fixed.

When did everything change?
When did a problem become an issue?
When did the dictionary change and people no longer have problems but everyone has issues.

Do I have a problem or an issue with the above?

The both of us have a problem with liberals changing everything and telling us good is bad and bad is good.

Same here, except that Germans always have been looking up to authorities to have their problems solved. "We" Germany like to live a full comprehensive life, where nobody is liable for their actions or lack thereof, and everybody is being cared for by the government.

I don't like that, because government very seldomly can actually help, but most of the time is or becomes part of the problem. And when that happens, peple cry for even more government to solve the situation that just got worse. Even when there is too much government, people cry for government to get rid of government... CRAZY! I would prefer government to concentrate on their basic tasks like building roads, power lines and schools, give rough guidelines, and leave the rest to us. And of course then cut taxes to only what's actually needed.

If I said what I feel about the government in reference everything stated above, I would be banned for life from this site, and the clowns we have in DC would have me killed.

Reason I asked the question.
I am having some work (upgrades) done to my home.
Contractor keeps saying he is having issues with suppliers and workers..
Always seems to think I should solve his problem.
If it continues I may just solve his problems by getting a new contractor.
But then he will probably have issues (problems) with that as well.

There are some bad contractors out there. That excuse makes me laugh its easy for supplies go buy them as it is written in contract. Not hard, those excuses are rarely true unless you are ordering something really rare. I would not tolerate it. I never did like this from dirt bags. Call that show to catch a contractor if it goes bad. Keep us posted.

Well, that's something I'd call a "PAL" - " Problem anderer Leute ". Or English: " OPP" - "Other People's Problem". So it's not yours any more.

I ask for help or possible solutions to my problems before I run out of duct tape.
