I'm pretty sure they do. While bow hunting a number of years ago, I had some squirrels playing around under a deer feeder. I bobcat jumped out and grabbed one. He toyed with it a long time but he was where I could not get an arrow into him.

I have been having all sorts of trouble trying to reply. Been hitting all the wrong buttons. I don't like this mouse any more than ferul cats. I would like to get a shot at about any cat.

No,wild cats don't play w/their food except maybe for training kits. More often its barely dead. In Nevada Mtn Lions are open season w/OTC tags and an annual quota limit. Bob cats require a pelt seal to be retained/sold/mounted etc. The far NE corner reports Lynx but I think its more likely a light colored bob. NDOW estemates 25,000 lions.
