Disk powder measure leak fix

Post by Steve »

I had a problem with too much powder leaking out past the seal on my Pro Auto-Disk Powder Measures. I did this to keep the tension evenly spread across the seal on each of my measures.

Small spring running from web of base to side of measure hopper. Spring attaches oposite of the factory screw that holds the hopper on the base. This keeps tension on the seal. I used a number 2 wood screw to attach the spring to the hopper. the other end of the spring goes in a hole I drilled in the web. To allow the hopper to turn to the off position simply lift the spring off the screw in the hopper.

It's simple, and it helps quite a bit.

Ignore the powder and weight shown on the disk. It works with another disk on the double disk kit.

Haven't had problems with mine yet so I'll keep this in mind.
