I shoot a couple of Lyman wadcutters in 45 acp.
The problem I have is, the seating stem in the die is too short to seat them properly. I was thinking of filling the hollow adjusting knob with JB weld to compensate for this shortness. Can any of yall think of a reason why this wouldnt work before I screw up the knob?

My 45 dies are from the 90's, and have a flange around the top that only allows it to install one way, are the newer one's reversable?

Re: 45 ACP bullet seating die
I believe the folks at Lee will make a seating stem to work. Years ago I bought a 10mm revolver, the factory crimp die was a taper crimp, and the bullet moved under recoil, so I contacted Lee. They made a sleeve that is taper on one side, and crimp on the other, works great!

Excellent ideas!
Now to find where I put those dies...in the process of moving and cant find anything.
