Hoping this is a reloading project and not a headspace issue.
Quoting myself ... I've had the test loads built for a few months just haven't tried them. The biggest issue was a tight chamber due to carbon I could not see. Let it soak days between cleanings and got it smooth. Bought some fancy Hornady chamber measuring tools and used a modified case to find the lands. Built a few scope baseline loads and some test rounds with different charges, all same length. First time I have ever loaded off the ogive for a chamber without using OAL. Maybe I will try it Thursday. I could then build the rounds for Dad and be done.

I’m still loading my own. I’ve been going down the rabbit hole of reloading 444 Marlin into .410 shells.

Yesterday I loaded 100 rounds of 223, 55gr. fmj over 25gr H335 oal 2.20. This morning loaded 30 rounds of 45acp 230gr Hy Tek over 6.5 gr. Herco powder oal 1.250. That's all the clean 45 brass I have on hand. Need to clean some tomorrow, have a lot of fired in a big coffee can. Have a couple thousand LP primers on hand so will need to start looking about for more. Last time I went to find some didn't turn out well. Will try a different store. Just got my reloading set up going again so feel pretty good about getting back to it.

Well I just purchased a #4 jug of Win 244 so I'll be busy this winter. Also Sportsman's Warehouse was selling primers for $59.99/brick until recently so I stocked up there too.

Slowed waaaaay down on both shooting and reloading the past couple of years!
I have enough loaded, and enough components to last me quite a while. Just haven't been to the range much in the past couple of years! I get there a couple of times a year, and primarily shoot my CC handgun, and the occasional rifle, or .22!!

Regarding the 222 headspace .
You can neck up to 24 or25 cal and create a false shoulder where the neck bulge serves to set headspace without jamming the bullet in the lands .
Just a Red neck,White boy, Blue blood American.....

Yup, the "False shoulder" method of fire-forming brass is my favorite
especially when working with old mil-sup stuff.
One & done. Just gotta be sure to keep the right cases with the right firearm.

Currently processing around 300 pieces of 308 brass in preparation for purchasing a new Ruger Gen. II in 308 in the next month or so. I have several cast lead loads I want to work up for it first, then I'll think about a jacketed load or two.

I did reload some .357mag for the new Taurus 627 Tracker, and the Rossi R92. Loaded 158gr LSWC, with 6.0gr Unique to see how they would run. They were perfect in every way. They cycled through the R92 without a hiccup, and the accuracy was 'pretty good'!! I was shooting steel at my Buddy's range and was more interested in the functionality of them. I will put them on paper in the coming days/weeks. then report back!
