Hey gunoil and everyone else! Start using the "share" youtube address along with the youtube phpbb code to include the actual video in your post rather than the youtube url.

The correct youtube address is found via the "Share" tab below the video. The address uses a "youtu.be" format.

The format for including this video in a post would be:

Code: Select all

That is all I did to display the video in the opening topic.

I'm confused. Isn't the 9mm a semi rimmed case and you are now making the (semi-rim) into a rimless case? Won't this make it harder for the extractor to swipe it from the action???

9mm is considered "rimless" ..... .32 acp IS semi-rimmed (the source of the dastardly "rim-lock" in many of today's small lightweight .32 acp pistols that are fired with the shorter over all length jhp rounds (that probably won't expand anyway  ).

Op'er did give any info as to the die he is using or the diameter it is swagging to.
cartridge_9mm_Luger.jpg
The case rim is .003" more than the greater diameter of the case (web). Notice that all the dimensions of the cartridge are up to minus .007", except the rim which is up to minus .010. I take this to mean that SAAMI must find it acceptable to make the rim the same diameter as the web (by removing that additional .003" at the rim).
