Re: Time to say goodbye to Dad...
Michael,
Here I am just logging in to your site after much time away - and discover your news. I never imagined this as something that would or could happen, nobody did, and I am especially sorry to know that this invisible killer took hold of you, and tragically your dad.
It is with great relief to know that you survived your brush with fate, but I am supremely sorry that your dad unfortunately passed.
I know from the stories you've told about your growing up with your dad that you will cherish those memories for all your days. That is a great and never-ending legacy to always keep with you!
Wishing you and your family peace as you move forward. Be well.
Adam

RD, so sorry to hear about your Dad, but very glad to know that you pulled through. I lost my Dad January of 2020. He was 92, I still miss his wisdom and having his ear. I know the pain will subside over time. I also know that it will never go away. Take care of yourself.

Ranch Dog,
Very sorry for you loss! If it were not for the Covid you may have had many more years.... these are sad times
If my Dad were alive he would be 111 years old but we lost him in 1973 to cancer! He was a quiet man but he was one of wisdom...not well educated but he had gained much knowledge of life. The last thing we did together was to make me a photographic darkroom in our basement! I knew nothing about carpentry but I told him what I needed and it came out perfect!
I have been a professional commercial photographer since 1973 working for the same studio for 48 years ( hoping to make it to 50 years!) He was the one that set me on the path although he had no idea what I was doing! but I followed that path to success...and I guess I have him to thank for helping me start my livelihood

Not sure what to say about that other than thank you. I'm just a goofball that has been trying to sling a chunk of lead downrange successfully.jwfilips wrote:You are very welcome!

Re: Time to say goodbye to Dad...
So sorry that you lost your dad. I lost mine in December 2019 and my mom gave up on life and we lost her four months later. My dad was a career Game Warden and taught me to hunt, fish and the joys of hand loading. They were married over 60 years and the life lessons they passed on were amazing. Just to hear a little tidbit of advise today one more time,,,, what I wouldn't give.
