As the title says 30 years ago I had a Belgium made sweet 16 stolen. Over the years I've kind of kept my eyes open but either didn't find the condition I wanted or the price I wanted. Friday I was in my local gun shop look at a revolver which I passed on and Mandy the woman at the counter asked me if there was anything else that would interest me. I have jokingly told her if she had a Belgium made Browning sweet 16 I might actually have to look at it.
Turns out a woman who would loan the neighbor some money and after the neighbor was unable to pay agreed to take a sweet 16 instead had came in and told the shop they needed $300 out of it. Well I know the shop owners and their honest and they told her that wasn't going to happen that she didn't know what she had and they tried to get her to list of on consignment for $1,800. She wanted to sell it fast and so insisted it be listed only for 1100. . The condition is good.
I dated The Shotgun by the serial number and it was manufactured in 1965 by f&n in Belgium and still I didn't quibble I just paid the money and took it. Photos below. It needs a good cleaning but there is no significant pitting stocks a little bit banged up but no cracks.
