I never let anyone know I was an airline pilot. I didn't want the locals speculating on how much money I made or how much time I wasn't out at the ranch. I told those that asked, that I was a "heavy equipment operator." That seemed to satisfy everyone. Now when someone finds out, the question is "how long did you do that?" My answer is "41 years". They get this weird look as if I played them but good.mikld wrote:I didn't even tell anyone I was an Auto/Heavy Equipment Electrician, I'd just say something like "I worked on cranes"...
