Welcome. I also load and shoot 6.5x55 in a full miltary M96 and a CG63. The M96 is very accurate and I have worked up a couple of good loads for its 29.5 inch barrel.
On the 6.5x55 I use Norma N4 powder (easy available powder at good price in the Nordics) for the Sierra 140grs bullet.
Use Norma brass, also very available on the ranges in Norway, always full press and resize. As I can pick brass for this caliber on the ranges after people how shoot a box of Norma ammunition without cleaning up after themselves I can live with a shorter brass life expectancies.
As the competition requires reloading from stripperclips I want it to load and chamber quick and without any fuzz.. :-)
