I saw one guy say this is how you verify your spring is located crrectly. Lower the lever, raising the primer pin. Tale a screwdriver and push the pin sideways and hold it. Drop the lever. Removethe screwdriver. If the pin drops its located. If the pin doesnt, it isnt.

According to Mike at Mikes Reloading bench the spring is actually too long and may cause issues. You can put a small spring right on the primer post instead of the lee spring or cut it.
