I have a post-war Win. Model 94 in 32 WS, vintage 1947, that is known as the "flatband" given the flat surface of the forward barrel band. The flat barrel bands were used only in 1947 and 1948 from what I've read.

I exclusively shoot my own handloads. Particularly, the Hornady flex-tip FTX 165 grain projectile is very accurate in front of a dose of IMR 4064. This rifle sports a 1-16 barrel twist.
