The part from Lee is 5 bucks. When you order one they send 2 because they realize there is a problem. I replaced mine last week and I did notice some etching with the new part. So far 1k and not a single tipped case but Now I am using this press exclusively for 32ACP

It's a basic design flaw, I'm experiencing the same issue with the feed ramp getting divots. Is there a chance you could post some photos of the mods you made with metal stock to improve the design?

This is otherwise a great value in a progressive press. The case feeding is a really bad joke.
Lee should step up and fix this.

I was getting divots, but I made a few tweaks:Cdog wrote:This is otherwise a great value in a progressive press. The case feeding is a really bad joke.
I no longer use a penny, but went a lot closer than that. I also keep the distance from the tubes closer. Just far enough away that it cycles.
I load mostly 45 ACP's and the extra feeder block is too tall for them, and too short without it, so I made one just right for the 45 ACP.
