Lee Pro 10lb pot assembly

Hi Lee Loaders,
I have recently purchased a new Lee Heating Coil for my Lee Production Pro IV (bottom pouring pot) as my original coil had burnt out, due to dampness in garage. When trying to rebuild it, the melting pot is sitting very high, a good inch or so from the top of the coil assembly I was wonder if anyone had seen this before and if there were any suggestions.
