Bombogenisis

That is the weather phenomenon that hit here yesterday. 157 kph wind gusts and 90 cm (35.4 inches) of snow. That is on top of the 150 cm we have had since Christmas eve. My front door, which is 4 steps off the ground, was covered up to about a foot of the top. It took 2hours just to get the snowblower from the shed to the front of the house. Tomorrow I tackle the front door and steps. At least the power stayed on.

Odd for the island isn't it ?

Those winds are nothing the mess with , I've been in some of those and it ain't the wind as much as it is the stuff in the wind ......like marble sized gravel . I'd imagine that snow would as harsh as as sand .
