Re: I'm All In ~ App Press Deluxe
Alright, I'm confused with the swage kits. They show a "universal" swage die, and they show several diffferent swage "tools". So what the heck does a guy need to do 9mm, and 223? I did see where it says the universal case feeder will work with the "Deluxe" version so that's cleared up for me. But the swage stuff has me a bit confused.

Well RD you should be proud of yourself. I just ordered a Deluxe model. Nothing else for now, I'll figure out what I need with a bit more investigation and consideration of what I want to use it for. That's o.k. though, I like Top Ramen.

You're welcome. Ramen isn't bad, better than dry dog food!
I went ahead and set up the swagging. I think it will go a long way in eliminating priming issues with the Load-Master. I ran some and then tested them against unswagged pockets on my Lyman Prep Center. The swagged take just seconds to bevel (little removed as the APP took care of it) and uniform (I like a clean pocket). This is compared to a minute and a half, maybe two with the unswagged case.
The swagging will be a single fresh run on a given lot of cases. Then it's just cleaning the pockets if you want that.
The case feeder spit them right on through, it is a bit slower than depriming as you have to apply the force at the stops.
I think that the operations; bullet sizing, case bulge busting, case decapping, and primer pocket swagging is going to change out real quick. As you change bullets/cartridges, you will need to adjust the feeder height. That is done by spacing it with a nickel above the bullet or case. Changing sliders for different bullet or case heights is less than a minute.

Re: I'm All In ~ App Press Deluxe
I ordered mine from FSReloading. The promise date has now been moved back to April 15 with only 3 coming in. It looks real slick de-priming those cases. I suspect its going to be a money pit buying all the goodies I want to get for it. Of course I don't need to get too worried until I get the main unit and set it up.

I hear that. I need to get proactive in moving more equipment that isn't being used. Need to do the same with firearms.horseman wrote:Dunno where I'm gonna put it though....
