They say there are only 2 kinds Chrono owners those who have shot it and those who will .....

A little either barrel goober or unburned powder kernel got my first one .

The Hammer heads sure look good on paper .

I sure do like the program you are using to get that data screen precision ballistics and trajectory.. but I dont think it will help one bit with them Key slugs..

I think the problem with Lee slugs is the use of column wads. It needs a dedicated, injection molded, sabot like the STI, that mates with the key. From the column wads that I've found downrange and examined, the compression strut is spent (totally been collapsed at the shot), and usually, one or all of the petals are lost. Both of these conditions can only lead to the slug being upset while it is still in the chamber or moving down the barrel. I've shot the Lee slugs with over a dozen different column wads, none have held any promise.

I think a wad petal hit my chronograph. Not the first chronograph I've lost but I could have prevented it by covering the front of it with foam. I like seeing the readout, which is rather dumb in that have the app on my phone. Live and learn.

The last bit of shooting with the Lee slugs consumed my red Cheddite hulls and I went ahead and started with the clear hulls that I ordered two weeks ago.

My next task is to sell the MEC Slugger, I'm happy with the Load All II.
