I did this with a .308 Win stainless Lothar Walther barrel and a FN action without thumbhole, the color is midnight blue, the bolt is coated in titan grey.
By the way, the stock is an early Microfit dual grip thumbhole and it was a pain in the ass to sand it ;)

Just picked up a Mold, to start loadin for a 8x57
Hi,
do you use a gas check ?
We have a bullet manufacturer in Germany, which is called Haendler und Natermann. They produce swaged lead bullets and they copper plate and coat! them afterwards.
For the 8x57IS, they produce a .125 grs and a 190grs bullet. With 16grs Unique behind, the 125grs can be accelerated up to 560 m/s, the 190 grs can be loaded with 15grs N110 for about 350 m/s.

Yes I use Alum. Gas Checks for most Rifle Loads...

Hi Joerg,
Welcome from bonnie Scotland. Never say never, the ladies might still come round. While in San Antonio, Texas for a 2 week holiday Nov 2017, my better half wanted to visit the Bullethole range along with my son. We must have made the first two visits sound too good to miss.

That lady didn't shoot at all 3 yr before that picture was taken . Now we salvage lead , go to shoots , and obviously go hunting . She hasn't shown much interest in reloading but spends time during the casting and lead cleaning sessions .

My oldest daughter was my go to hunting buddy until her sophmore yr of highschool when she started playing American football . If we were in the same state now I have little doubt that she and her husband would be hunting with me often .

My youngest daughter .

Well get her and her husband to join us here on the Lee Loader! If they would like to start reloading I can guarantee anyone/everyone of us would be willing to assist. My daughters and sons and grandkids still love to help me, especially when they are running low on ammo!

Thank you :D
That's Lotte, a female Deutsch Kurzhaar (German Shorthair) totally black, thats pretty rare. You might know that breed from TV, Mountain Man Tom Oar has such a dog.
Lotte is trained for the work after the shot, especially for the work on the blood trail.

I've been in scotland a couple of years ago for hunting on Red Stag. We've been in the area around Inverness, The scenic beauty of Highlands is extraordinary. Got a lot of Whiskey in the local distillery in Muir of Ord.
I've never been so exhausted during hunting, we had to climb several hills for the stag.
