Sorry about the orientation. It is a view of what I'm looking at on patrol, my side of the device is a moving map of the patrol. Round object is device mount base on side of the windshield, not a wheel.

Dang it! I want to move to TX, and tag along on one of your patrols.
I haven't been up in a small plane since '85, since I shipped off for the Navy.
In HS I was active in the CAP, and worked at a small airport refueling planes, had all of my instruction, solo'ed and had a fair amount of time behind the yoke, but never pursued it post Service

The small local airport is across the highway and just down the road from my workplace. I get to see all kinds of stuff from biplanes to Lear jets. There is a lot of wheat and corn grown around here and one dude does areal spraying...fun to watch.

I was in CAP, but the flight training offered in my unit was hit or miss so I hit it pretty hard on my own and got my Private Pilot license when I was 16.
Took my dad and dog yesterday. My dog had been waiting for me in the back of my truck while I flew, he must of decided that no way was the airplane leaving without him. He got in on his own.

If the dog was happy, you must have done a great job stepping on the ball.
