Hello from Minnesota

I love my Lee turret press, but I just had to try the Load-Master. I have run into a couple of problems, but I think, through trial and error, I may have found a new favorite.
My fascination with guns started as a young boy who found his father's rifle hidden under his bed. I would take the hefty lever action Marlin 39 out of it's cheap plastic leather case and study every inch of it. Later I learned that I had dry fired it way too much, causing the block that usually holds the firing pin, which was locked away with the ammunition, to mushroom. The damn thing got stuck, and dad had to pay for a repair. I was hoping I would inherit it, but it was promised to my older brother.
I started shooting late in life. Didn't know it wasn't hard to get a permit to carry here. So I got one. For practice, I joined IPDA and shoot with the clubs around here. I started to reload for my 9mm shooting habit, thinking I would save money. I don't know if I do, but I sure am proud of the ammunition I'm turning out.

Greetings from another Turret and Load-Master fan. Not only do we have that in common, but this Texan also holds an MN conceal carry license. I have family in the Twin Cities, just returned from a visit. A couple of years ago, MN stopped the reciprocal agreement with Texas because we allow those under 21 actively serving in the military a carry license and MN doesn't. So, I hold one.

I use all the functions on the Load-Master without modifications and follow the setup instructions to the letter. If you are having issues, I suspect there are several of us here that can help.

I think I've got the hang of the press now. I did pull 35 cartridges that didn't have a primer from a jam in the feeder. Now I know where to look to see them flowing nicely.
Then I started to get raised primers because the shell plate nut wasn't tight. You see, I had a stuck case in the resizing die and it took a while to get it out. In the process I left that nut a little loose.
It was then I sought out a forum to help me with experience. Voila. Here I am.
I attend the School of Hard Knocks. The questions will come.

Welcome from Newfoundland. I took up IPSC instead of IDPA but the fun is the same.

Howdy from Arizona. Great place here, with great people. The combined level of knowledge & experience
is amazing. The best part is, that crazy level of
knowledge & experience is happily shared, unlike
Some other places I have seen.
Welcome & enjoy.

Welcome aboard from the State of Jefferson. I'm turret fan, don't have a load master but use my single stage for depriming and sizing. A lot of good folks here, I know you'll enjoy the group.

I laughed at your location description on your user panel. Must seem very green and very thick after Nevada! You get some coon hounds yet?
