Anybody know how long the Butt Stock on a SMLE is supposed to be?
The One I have is 12"1/8 from the Toe of the Stock to the rear of the Trigger Guard....
Are They all that short?

IIRC they came in a number of lengths to accommodate various shooters. The average height of a British soldier was only about 5'4'' in WW1 with some units actually made up almost entirely of shorter individuals. This increased after the war as the result of the introduction of better income support (diet) and healthcare. The rifles had to provide a correct length of pull or both speed and accuracy were affected.
