Checked a few bullets with dial calipers and got a consistent.358. Bought 100 new 115g rnl today and they come in at .355. They reload and chamber fine. So now I have 450+ bullets that I need to get rid of or run through a resizer. Thanks for all of the help and suggestions.

A Lee bullet sizing kit is going to run you about $18 at most online retailers, with shipping about a nickel a bullet to correct the diameter. You would want to know something about your barrel though as you would need to decide whether to get a .356" or .357" Kit. Given what you reported with the fit, just offhand I'd go with the .356".

Sounds like 38 spl/357 mag bullets to me at .358. Use loads for the 125 grain bullet and they should shoot just fine. If you don't have a 38/357 good excuse to get one. +guns

I was thinking like Ranchdog...Factory crimp. remember that tamper of the 9mm. Did you say plated or jacketed work fine?

I know this is an older post but while doing research on heavy bullets in the 9mm I came across a discussion on case differences and specifically that the tapering of the case wall thickness may differ between brass makers. This means two identical bullets may cause bulging in one brand of case and not another. I am away from home until October so can't test this with the variety of case brands I have in my stock but it bears some investigation.

My XD Mod 2 shoots anything. I haven't found it to be fussy. As posted above, if I have anything that fails the gauge test I run it through the Lee Factory Crimp die again.
