Hi All,

I cut my reloading teeth on the .308 Win case however it was for the 7.62x51 Nato on a Lee Enfield Envoy sporting rifle. See pic below, however the Enfield I had, had the heavy target barrel. I should have never sold that one...... :oops:

150gr FMJBT S&B solid bullets
Vit N-140 - 40grains
Fed 210m large rifle primers
new Winchester .308 cases, checked and trimmed to 2.005"
C.O.A.L = 2.775"

Back then our only range time was on a military range (used by Faslane Sub base in the Clyde) or known as Garelochhead range to the locals. We had a mix of small sentry heads and paper targets at 100, 200 and 300yards and the odd 50 yard for those needing to zero sights.

Cheersthenoo!

Rgs Gavin

Remember Faslane base. Was there in 1971 with RCN. Two days later our destroyer got a confirmed exercise kill on an R Class. Bragging rights when we went back lol.
