Paper Forms
I keep a spiral bound notebook near my bench for jotting things down. I used to make sheets in the notebook for different powders and what the powder measure would throw when set to a specific setting. Unfortunate for me, years ago my (now ex) wife threw away my first note book that had years of loads and casting tricks. With the advent of computers and the plethora of old, surplus laser jet printers, I have been making and using custom forms.
I recently changed it to include the little Lee Auto Disk. On the side I have spaces for the new and the old Lee dippers. I really like these sheets. Saves a bunch of time from having to write everything out like I used to.
Anyway, this is what I now use.
Sorry, I don't have Microsoft Office. This is from Open Office. I recently changed it to include the little Lee Auto Disk. On the side I have spaces for the new and the old Lee dippers. I really like these sheets. Saves a bunch of time from having to write everything out like I used to.
Anyway, this is what I now use.

Re: Paper Forms
I use handloading software but I also keep a paper trail that starts with entries in a notebook. I have been using a spreadsheet that I made 20 years ago or better for load development. It has a lot of calculations dealing with the increments of a load and is tied to a list of powders that I maintain. Here is a sceenshot of it:
I'm also an Open Office user.

Re: Paper Forms
I'm old school I sport English comp books for records they seem to hold up better over time for me in range bags and such. I use rubber bands to keep them closed when not in use or to hold open on windy days at the bench. Now I just need to organize them so I can find what I want when I need to.

Wow RD those 3 ring binder printout are very professional! Even the printing in the spiral bound notes is neat and legible and detailed. Very nice. I bet your years as a pilot paid off in precision and neatness.

Re: Paper Forms
I'm not dumb but I write like a donkey.
I keep records on what I build. Since I never get to use them I have little notes on what works.
I found my UniFlow labeled "5.0 Unique" but never found notes on what was loaded with such.
FACEPALM
I dialed it back to 3.8 for the .32-20s and relabeled it.
I think I forgot to write it in my book. Dang.

Re: Paper Forms
Ranch Dog, your screenshot looks like a database output instead of the usual boxes from a spreadsheet. Nice.

Re: Paper Forms
Thanks. It is a formatted spreadsheet (ods) that pulls data from another spreadsheet that has my powders.cj8281 wrote:Ranch Dog, your screenshot looks like a database output instead of the usual boxes from a spreadsheet. Nice.
