NOE Ranch Dog moulds

Post by Maximumbob54 »

Finally, FINALLY, NOE is getting a good listing of the RD moulds. Maybe I'm late on this but I would swear they were just all mixed in, but now they have their own listing. I'm still waiting for him to add the .45 ACP design but this is a huge step in the right direction!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the update, yeah looks like a good mix for sure. Tell him you need that 45 ACP bullet.

Greetings
Probably if there was not such a backlog on Group Buy Molds all the RD molds would be available. But progress is happening. :>) So now have to find out where my backlog of funds is hiding.

Well, I went to the linked site and found my favorite caliber, .44. Molds available; zero. Went to my favorite rifle caliber, .30. Molds available; 1 (4 cavity). Not much for me, yet...

Good morning
With NOE you have to be persistent in checking availability. I generally check it once a week and even then miss something I have interest in.

I just recieved cast and shot the new production 310618 from NOE . It is the 1st to show promise in a 2 groove 03'. For the record it is a 30 cal mould for paper patching developed in the 60s for long range target work by the NRA. It is available ,or was, in 172 and 212gr I think mine is the 172 gr and w/the alloy I started with drops at 302 dia and 170 gr. My 1st test wasn't great results but was as good as any of the other cast loads and showed me a definate direction to go for development. I chose the 172gr mould because a 308 I load for refuses to shoot anyting over 175 gr cast/jacketed, pointy, round it doesn't care.

Back on subject. I read many posts on the RD moulds lots of folks missed them.Better QC and cleaner moulds.
