I have large dehumidifier rod and silica packs I renew in oven monthly to keep my powder dry as with already loaded ammo. What other tricks have you all been using?

Before I made up my mind about where to live (that is before I dicided to live in 3 different places and just move around between them frequently) I had the space, shelves, lockers, dresser drawers, cabinets and a closet to store everything in its own separate place. Now every component is in a confused disorganized disaster state of organisation.

I need HELP! Where do I go to attend meeting for disaster control?

I keep powder and ammo in my flat, that's it. If the container is closed, this is enough to protect the powder, it's not going to sit there forever anyway. My ammo's usually used up within the year I loaded them, so I don't see much necessity to do anything about that, either. When your living rooms are comfortable for you, they also will be for powder and ammo.

If you keep your powder and/or ammo in the same safe as your guns, the dehumidifiers might even cause harm. Wooden stocks don't like when it's too dry.

I store my powder and primers so light can't get at them in a drawer or closet. When I leave powder on the press for a few days I cover the measure to block light from it. I keep larger amounts of powder when I have it in an old refrigerator in the shop.

I had one discolored measure I think because of a double based powder. (I think double base is the one that is hard on plastic.) If somebody is sure please post it.

Same as Steve, out of the light, tightly sealed, dark closet.
