I just got my first, brand new C Frame press today.
To my surprise it takes about 20lbs of force to move the arm
I've lubricated this thing and that reduced it to about 15lbs to move the handle.
If that is not enough, the movement is very jerky.
Is this normal or should I be returning this defect?
New C Press very hard to operate?

Definately sounds like a defect. You might try loosening the bolts on the lever arm?
An ignorant person is one who doesn't know what you have just found out.

Daboone - you are a genius!!!!
I loosened those 2 bolts about 1/4 turn each - the piston moves freely now.
Nothing like an advice from someone with years of experience!!!
Thank you.

If years of experience means old ornery fart then you nailed it.

Do a search of this site for the "Lee Reloader Press" . I'm sure there are more discussions on this handy little press.
