Mystery Lee bullet...?
What is the one in the top center? It looks like maybe a .30ish caliber round nose tumble lube bullet.

Re: Mystery Lee bullet...?
Interesting. It does look like a Tumble Lube bullet, plain base, with a 2R ogive. Might be a bore rider but nothing listed like this in their product line.

Re: Mystery Lee bullet...?
Lee has made some special molds for group buys could this be one of them? Any markings on the mold?

Impossible to say with that tiny picture. No way to enlarge it? what does it measure?
Looks like my lee mold for 9mm, a 125 grain tumble lube 2-R round nose.

I have a Mac and if I drag the picture to my desktop I can open it in Preview and enlarge most pictures. This one is low resolution but will enlarge a bit for me but I can't identify it.snuffy wrote:Impossible to say with that tiny picture. No way to enlarge it? what does it measure?

Re: Mystery Lee bullet...?
The more I look t that bullet the more it looks like the 500 gr. 45-70 bullet. I had one if those moulds, the bullet was very accurate in an H & R rifle.

Re: Mystery Lee bullet...?
Your picture looks very similar to the one left of the bullet in question. Have a closer look in the top middle one again.

Re: Mystery Lee bullet...?
Oops, another error on my part. Have some mercy on me please as I'm having a bad week. Lee has had some discontinued bullet styles over the years and I bet that is one of those or as RD suggested, a special ordered one.

Re: Mystery Lee bullet...?
The one sitting between the mold halves top center is more interesting to me. Looks big. .44, .45 cal., old style wadcutter, shot gun slug?
