Good morning Michael,

Nice looking projectile RD. Your photography skills are very good too. Since I already have too many guns and not enough season I don't suspect that I will be ordering one of those. Also, my favorite 30-06 has been calling me to take it for a walk this year and has threatened to put a curse on me if I don't comply. My son-in-law and I will be applying for an elk tag again but the 444P is going for that walk should I be drawn.

I have a funeral to attend this morning, the husband passed one year ago and now the wife. Both were my age too. Soon, if the rate keeps up, all my friends will be buried and I won't know any live people except for younger family members.

I sure don't have the need for anything else, myself. Not sure why I even got interested in the 303 British or the SMLE as I have guns everywhere. Of course there is the Henry Long Ranger yet left to tempt me. Even sent Henry an email asking about the production dates, mid summer.

The SMLE that is at Boses Guns in NE, along with both of my Savage 10FCMs were/are intended to be silhouette rifles. I really had wanted to start dabbling in that shooting with retirement but given the state of my life some 18 months later, it just hasn't happened yet.

I remember that fellow passing and I'm sorry to hear about his wife.

Very nice! That long bullet should feed slick as snot. I'm looking forward to the range report and the hog report.

What size nose did they cast?

Thanks. Should be working on both the remainder of the week!

Right on the target dimensions.

Looking at this bullet got me to thinking that the 303 would make a good lever gun round.

Well... if you have the bucks there is one...

Cartridge overall length is the big deal given the modern levergun. It needs about another .575" to operate through the action.
