Re: Mauser M03 Trail Rifle
Well, we don't have feral hogs here just yet... But that video makes me want to have someone video tape me while a chase down feral cats and shoot them with the 30-06 I just cut the barrel down on! Now if I could just figure out what music I want playing in the background to set the mood.

Yeah! There at the end I wonder if that fellow doing all the shooting did any good?

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like he needs an AR15 with a 30-round magazine to me. Spray and pray!

Re: Mauser M03 Trail Rifle
The Henry rifles have always tugged at me, just not quiet enough though, until I saw that the 41 Mag Big Boy Steel will be available this year. I just looked on Bud's and I could buy carbines in 357 Mag, 44 Mag, & 45 Colt, plus rifles in 30-30 Win & 45-70 Govt, along with the 41 Mag when available for $3913! This is more my style than spending it all on one rifle.

My thoughts are for 4 thousand dollars in today's money, it oughta be able to shoot itself with no involvement by me.

Naah, I like shooting too much along with the handloading. I could take the use of a full time bullet caster or gun bearer with the purchase though. No, I'd have to feed them. Components for the life of the gun wouldn't be enough.DaveInGA wrote:My thoughts are for 4 thousand dollars in today's money, it oughta be able to shoot itself with no involvement by me.

I do like my Henry, fine lever gun, and a damm sight cheaper than 4k. I would have thought those european engineers we hear so much about would have been able to come up with a more clever anti theft device than those orange panels.

"My only friend, The End.
The killer awoke before dawn. He put his boots on. "
The incest part is the only bad part of that song. Maybe just call it the Oedipus part.
