Waiting on a botched parts delivery so I got some work done on the LAM-II mount. I always try to have a side project at work this time of year. I went the countersink direction first as seen here.



But...I could not find a good fit of the block to any three existing holes in the plate so I had to make two more square 1/4" holes and use the original holes in the block that line up with the LAM-II. I did not take my Dremel to work so this task was quite tedious.



Then I used the longer bubble head carriage bolts I found at the hardware store. Here is after I ground them flat (sort of).




Now for final function check




I'll get some more pics of the bench area now that they tops are de-cluttered of machines.

I think it is an RCBS bullet lube/sizer.

Yeah, it is. There's a pic of it running with the PID controlled heater on page one but unless you have Firefox and the patch you can't see it due to Photobucket mayhem.

Now there's a waiting game for Midsouth Shooters. Last two orders from them took a couple weeks to ship but two day to arrive. They are sending the magic tumbling media, a flash hole uniformer, and three new universal decap pins.

Forgot to mention the other day I had a spent primer "wall" screw missing and Lee used some weirdo size so I tapped it out to 8-32. I had some old screws in my surplus so I ran a die down them then cut them off at 1/4" length of threads and used them instead of the Lee screws. These have serrated washers made onto them, look better, and will hold much better.

Now to solve the issue of the slightly poor design of the giant Phillips screws that hold the side plates on the Lee bench plate system.

Yeah, but if you continue to shoot a lot the only option is to buy ammo. This is how feel about casting and the process of prepping bullets more than I do about the reloading.
