Rem 600 Scout Up & Shooting!

Post by Ranch Dog »

Started to shoot my Rem 600 Scout chambered in 35 Rem. Pushing my TLC359-190-RF with 42.5-grains of H335 for 2300 FPS. Started at 25, out to 50, and then 100. This rifle is very accurate and will make a great hunter! Might bump the 190-grain bullet up to 2400 FPS.

The rifle has Heritage Arms aluminum rib, steel trigger guard and a Timney trigger. I was able to find a Redfield Jr IER mount with the rear sight. With the Jr. rings, the scope is quickly removed and the adjustable sights used. The scope returns to zero when reinstalled. The Scope is the Weaver K4 Classic Scout.

Very good looking setup! Should be a hoot to shoot with that "Classic" caliber. You have hog's, that should be a "stopper".

I'm getting it ready for a test on a hog if possible. The first week of December I will be out on a desert mule deer hunt and will probably use it. The rifle is 50 years old this year so I figure it probably would like to go on a hunt.

Nice looking rifle. It always seemed to me that I could shoot better with a good looking rifle.

50 years old explains why it's such a good looking rifle.
