range day

Post by Steve »

Had the range to myself today. When that happens and there is nobody to swap lies with it doesn't take long to blow through a few hundred pistol rounds. It was my Glock model 42 that got all the action. Should have taken more 380 Auto rounds with me.

That little pistol is fun to shoot and easy to carry. After carrying the 380 all summer my 40 sure seems heavy when I strap it on.

I know what you mean I carry my g26 and pta3 a lot these days. When I grab my full size 1911, or revolvers they feel like bricks in comparison.

Greetings
Monday mornings I usually an the only one at our east ILLinois range. I really do not mind as I get far more done in the limited time I have to be there. I go two hours early and slowly set up watching the farm area come to life. It is a marvel I never get enough of. Then maybe about 11 am someone will show up.

That is how I am with the TCP. I do "conditional" carry, that meaning that I evaluate the threat that I might encounter and carry accordingly. Of course, anything can happen.

Went to the range today and it was packed, couldn't talk the Wife out of it, with plenty of children too. But she didn't want to take our grandson so we just got to watch other kids have fun.
