since i like messing about, and dont have a life it appears
we stumbled onto some GreenDot and thought i would do some group tests
with it on .38spl wadcutter loads
so here is a Google Collection GreenDot Tests
with posts chronicling the events and a Google Sheet with chrono data for the loads
looks like we have another reserve winner! +guns

Interesting! I also found the Clay's portion interesting as I have a pound of it that I would like to use up. I did an initial test with it and found it to be very accurate with my Rossi 351 revolver. The short barrel seemed to have been effected the least of all my appropriate arms as the powder really suffers against others when velocity is considered.

Hey RD!
yup Clays is wonderful for these kind of loads
but will the new Canadian made Clays be as good as the Aussie made Clays!!!

do you think that sub 2" groups at 50yds is as good as we are going to do on a on going basis?
i suppose he needs to get to a point where he can do that one handed standing 10 time in a row!
i know there are some more variables to take out
i dont weigh the bullets
i dont weigh each charge
i use many times fired brass
i dont sort by headstamp normally (i did for the powder coat vs 45/45/10 tests i did)
ohh yeah and this isnt done from a machine rest its just Dave shooting off a bag with a stock 686

but i am thinking my loads do pretty well

hah, I think if you can hit a target at 50 yards with a 2" sub-nosed revolver you are lucky. If you hit it more than once, you have stumbled on a premium load!

Once again, best use of Google+ I've ever seen. And I've always avoided Green Dot because I figured the loads would be more erratic than Unique being a bigger flake. Maybe I will start to rethink some flake powders. Well, at least when they become more available. IF... If they ever become more available.
