223 RGB

Post by RBHarter »

1st I refuse to complain about the dies . The sizer mashes all of the range brass back to fit the 556/223 chamber fine and because the decapper expander is a little over sized it's perfect for cast . It leaves the neck ID at .221 which wouldn't be all that great for jacketed. The seating die is a whole different deal . With the slightly flared case it hits and binds on the crimp shoulder of the die . It must be rough because it will crush the case before it will crimp. Not a big deal I have a randomly aquired seat and crimp die so I can back this die out a ways and seat in it and use the 2nd die to crimp only . I could send it back and get a good die or spring for the FDC . I could even lap it smooth myself but as this works out it is near perfect for me. How's that for dumb luck ?
