Just getting ready to setup for 40 S&W from 380 Auto. Thought I would take a picture first because I used the RCBS competition powder measure on the 380s for the first time. I use it now on 380, 223, 40 S&W, it is really convenient because of the micrometer setting. It is the most accurate powder measure I have used with my powders.
Handle lowered for picture
station 1. Lee size die
station 2. Lee universal expander die
station 3. Hornady case activated linkage for powder measure (I have one on each tool holder)
station 4. Redding Pro bullet seating die
station 5. Lee factory crimp die

Re: My 380 Auto Setup
I like the micrometer (fancy nob) for fine adjustments. When using a new lot# of powder it is easy to make volume changes to maintain the same weight. There is a baffle in the measure which aids in maintaining the same volume of powder. It is very consistent with the powders I use.RBHarter wrote:Ive wondered what the Promeasure looked like ..... looks just like those 2 dinosaurs I have except with a fancy nob to adjust it . For 380 auto I set it to 0.056 Rex2 powder
For 40 S&W I set it to 0.090 Rex2 powder
For 223 Rem I set it to 0.253 IMR 8208 XBR
If I get a new lot# of powder I can make fine adjustments to get the correct weight.
To move the measure from one turret to another all it requires is release 1 spring and 1 thumb nut. Then set the micrometer to the correct setting.

Light bars. They called them daylight. they do put off a bright white light. It was intended as a desk lamp.Ranch Dog wrote:What is the white boomerang looking thing?

Re: My 380 Auto Setup
The old 1s I have I incorporated a baffle in via a funnel which is really just a card with a 1/2 hole cut so that it forms a funnel when placed under the powder tube . It drops Unique close enough to put over half of my 9mm in a 5 gallon bucket at the range on the line and probably 90% of the 4350 drops are .2 or less under and never more than .1 over.
I think it has more to do with the baffle than the equipment, the operator should get credit also.
