I'm still here
Hi fellows, I have not been loged on for a while because of a health issue.
Condenced story: I lost my right foot to a circulation problem. Now with the constant pain gone I can look to the future with hope and things I want to do. It's great to be rid of all the pain. So, if you have a problem, like I have found, there will be better days ahead. Now I can get back to my shooting hobby.
I'm still in haspital, will be back soon.
Steve

Dang Steve, you've gotta stop kicking that dog as he's winning
Diabetic issues? I'm truly sorry to hear about your ordeal. As one of our returning Afgan Vets had tattooed on his leg above his amputated foot "One Foot in the Grave"
Well here's a prayer and some thoughts for a speedy recovery and returning to the bench to get "important" stuff done besides flirting with the RNs.

You will be kept in prayers. I'm really sorry to hear about the health problems but with the pain gone, all things should improve.

Glad to hear that you're on the mend. The big question is what's the first thing you''re gonna pull the trigger on when you get out?

Hey, Steve,
I hope you recover well. Diabetes is something that's largely underestimated... sorry to hear it got you so bad.

Re: I'm still here
Hi Fellows, Thanks for the good wishes. I don't have a diabetic problem. It was just bad circulation in the right leg, which actually started with a 22 round near the femorial artery in 1968. It caused arterial damaged that finally needed operated on then got worse from there.
Just a slow acting bullet. when I did that I realized it is true that you should not drink and play with guns.
It's Sunday now and I'm supposed to go home Tuesday, Happy Days. Think I'm going to shoot up some fortys when I get home.

Glad to hear you are not a diabetic Steve but sad about your foot. What kind of replacement are they going to give you? One of those high speed ones that will let you bound over tall buildings. OK that might be pushing it a bit but figured you might need a smile.

Prayers for speedy complete recovery and long life. God works in mysterious ways, but He's got it under control. I thank the Lord I don't have similar problem, .22 upper left thigh didn't affect femoral, could have been much worse. Can't emphasize safe gun handling enough!Steve wrote:Hi Fellows, Thanks for the good wishes. I don't have a diabetic problem. Re: I'm still here
Hey Steve, I just found out early this morning you were absent do to illness, Sent you a couple of prayers by the way. I was just lurking around this section and found this post from you, man that sucks, but glad your better and hope you've shot a crap load of 40s by now. Back in June last year my oldest brother lost his right leg below the knee due to Diabetes and an accident on the job. In December last year he got his Prosthetic leg and hasn't slowed down any. As he said, NO MORE PAIN, and as far as dyeing, DEATH WAS GOING TO HAVE TO RUN HIM DOWN. So he's living every day now as if it's his last. Thank God, He's doing great. I hope the same for you.Steve wrote:Hi Fellows, Thanks for the good wishes. I don't have a diabetic problem.
