A few Lee modifications i have made

Post by Chickenthief »

My PPM has some white marker on it so i can see if it is closed or open and some so i can put the hopper on facing the correct way.

And i made a diffuser/baffle

Now it throws within .1grain from full to empty.
Here is a drawing if anyone want to make one:

79mm = 3.11"

I modded a ADPM to stand alone.
As you can see the stand is 100% custom made (dont think i could make another one this ugly!)
And i put a removeable stopper on the tube so the discs wont pop out when used.
An extension to the actuating arm was a must.

I modded my AP
I roughed the surface and glued on a bit of suede for better traction.
I made a safety pin fron at bit of the clip on a Biro (now the hopper wont spew primers everywhere)
I sanded a slight slope on the hopper cover so the cases wont snag when pulled out.
And i put an O-ring on when im finished so the remaning primers wont spill.

And i made a stand for my Hardness Tester

Now i have a hand free to take pics ;)

When i get some pics taken i will do another post with the rest of my Lee mods.

Nice!

I used a kids microscope stand to hold the little lee scope. Got that kids scope for 3 buck at goodwill. :D

All awesome mods!

I really like the Auto Disk used as a stand alone powder drop!

hey Chickenthief,
On the baffle do you put the bend up or down.
Have thought about making one but could not find any instructions and yours seems simple and easy to make and install

The bend should face up, so there is a cavity under the baffle. This way it only allows that much powder to build up pressure on the metering cavity, and this pressure stays constant ask the way until the hopper is empty.
