Has anybody tried reaming out a RGB die? I have a need to bore out a 30-06 die. If it can't be cut with a drill bit or reamer I will revise my idea.
Thanks ahead of time,
Steve

Re: bore out rgb die
I've tried to ream one larger with my drill press and an appropriate reamer. Dulled the reamer real quick.

Thanks RD. I was afraid of that. Your reply saved me a reamer.Ranch Dog wrote:I've tried to ream one larger with my drill press and an appropriate reamer. Dulled the reamer real quick.

Re: bore out rgb die
I did open the crimp step on a seating die to clear a paper patch. It was pretty hard on a brand new titanium nitro gold plated drill bit. The die that I shortened for an old wildcat was much softer . Both were from standard die sets a 6.8 Rem and 280AI.

Thanks RBHarter, I burnt up some bits and reamers on regular Lee dies removing the crimping grove too. Got one done myself, took the other to a machine shop to have it done. Those were pistol dies, I thought maybe the RGB rifle dies might be a little softer.
