Emptying leftover powder?

Post by Dancing Bear »

So how does everyone empty out the leftover powder out of the auto drum when done. This was never an issue using the RCBS powder drop since I just unscrewed it from the stand and inverted it back into the the cans. Now after removing the plastic bottle I use cases with spent primers and just keep cycling till the hopper and drums are empty. Aside from unscrewing the unit is there a better way?

I turn it off then cycle it a few times. I have an LCT so I lift the turret, dies and all, and dump it.

I put a funnel in the top of the powder can, then unscrew to powder dispenser from my Turret press. And dump it back in the can.

One thing I always do is to mark the powder dispenser as to what powder is in it. I use masking tape and a sharpie to do this.

Lift the turret! That worked. I loaded up some 357 loads and did it that way.
Don't know why I got stuck on not wanting to unscrew the powder dispenser.
Thanks
