Springfield Champion 45 ACP

Post by horseman »

Yeah, did it again. Stopped on my way home from helping a friend build fence at the local "gun store" to visit with Dan for a moment. Well, as we were talking I happened to "notice" the pistol mentioned above in the used handgun case. Stainless, all steel, Springfield Champion 4 inch ramped barrel, all the "good" stuff as any good "barbecue" gun should have. Also come with a 400 corbon barrel (assume it was fitted by a gunsmith) and I don't know much else about it as I didn't really ask. Did "fondle" it a bit though. Veery nice trigger...$799.00 asking price. Whadda you think?? It is purdy. :D

Oh, stop it Larry... :D I'm not going to buy it. Thought about it though. Seriously thought about it. No. Did order a new Chronogaph though. :)

thread drift alert.....

I've got 160,000 miles (almost) on my Dodge Cummins 6sp, so I'm going to order a new heavy duty clutch that's about a grand, instead of buying the Springfield. May do a rebuild on the NV5600 (trans) at the same time. (?) No problem with the clutch that's in it (now) but not going to wait till it "lunches" itself. I'm at the limit for the OEM clutch hp wise and thinking of adding a bit more soooo..

My vote is buy it when you see it. It may not be there long and you may not be able to get it later.

I've got a Springfield SS Range Officer Target on order since Feb. Yes, Feb! It's bought and paid for.

The story is the company is behind on orders and can't get enough parts to fill orders on a faster basis.

So, buy it if you see it!

Horseman, I had forgotten all about this?? I heard the same thing from a nephew & once again from a friend.. Both have been waiting for awhile.
Gotta agree with Bayou, ( How you been Bayou ? ) Want it, see it buy it. Gotta strong feeling that things are gonna get a LOT worse, before they get ant better, If they ever do ????
Beside that, you know dog gone good & well your gonna kick your own hind parts for a long time if you don't, then can't ???
