45 colt Sizing die instead of 45 ACP
Has anyone used a 45 Colt sizing when loading 45 ACP?
I am trying to get rid of the bulge at the bottom of my .452 projectiles

I assume you meant to say the bulge on the bottom of the cases. I haven't but interested if others have.

If it isn't causing chambering problems, it's not a problem, just aesthetically not pleasing.James Hensler wrote:Has anyone used a 45 Colt sizing when loading 45 ACP?

Okay now I get it. Must have been having a seniors moment when I read the post. .452 versus .451 which is the more common size for 45 ACP.. I have both 45 ACP and Colt dies, bullets and brass so I will try to duplicate problem and test the solution.

If you're using casT bullets you can use a custom flare insert that will help a little. Might also try neck-only sizing the brass.

I shoot NRA Percision Bullseye and The last thing I want is to resize my already swaged Zero Bullets. So no Lee Factory Crimp die for me. Well that’s not quite true I use one with the carbide ring knocked out. I do not have any chambering problems what so ever but I just don’t like how they look and I think they can be made better

Neck-only sizing empty brass was my intended suggestion.

There is no way to get rid of it, whether it is a 45 Auto or a 45-70 Govt.James Hensler wrote:Has anyone used a 45 Colt sizing when loading 45 ACP?
