lee autodrum, faster powder changes
lately i have been using the lee autodrum, works fine, this mod is mainly for reloaders who switch powders frequently, its a pain when changing powders after you turn off the powder you have to keep emptying cases till the chamber is empty, i did a mod today and it works nice, very easy to do, now i am loading 9mm only, take a fired pc a 9mm brass, drill a 1/4" hole thru, debur, get a fired 300WSM case, put the case on top of the neck and solder, done, now when i switch powders, i just put the 300wsm case on top of the shell plate and work the ram up and down about 15 times and the chamber is empty.

I just unscrew the whole measure using the "thumb" wheel, turn the measure upside down in the powder bottle with a large mouth funnel in it and done. Don't even have to run the ram up and down once. Takes about 2 minutes.

hi hosreman
that's what i use to do also, but since i did the autodrum mod stabilizer, its not feasible to go that route for me, the autodrum stabilizer mod really improved some erratic powder drops.

Re: lee autodrum, faster powder changes
Mine has very little deviation in drops and the only issue changing powders on mine is when I forget to turn it on or off.

On the turret press or the Pro1000 I just remove the whole turret and dump. On the Auto Breech Lock Pro I just remove the measure with the bushing and then dump.
What is this mod stabilizer?

Just label an "On" and "Off" position against a marked reference point.

That's what I did with my Delux. When I'm dispensing powder the On is rotated to the front where it's visable to the press operator.Ranch Dog wrote:Just label an "On" and "Off" position against a marked reference point.
