I've shot more than 16 grains of 2400 in a .357 Blackhawk. Not sure what's best for 35-30 but 20 doesn't "scare" me.

i did manage to scrub some of the rust off. i used transmission fluid and mineral spirits(i don't have acetone, so i'll put it on my list). i don't think i'll have it cerakoted. it will take me a couple of days to remove all the the rust.

Modern coatings are nice but I'd rather have some blemishes and original finish even though even my "old" guns look new (I'm picky).
